I'm Molly, a typical sushi, makeup, and fashion loving millennial girl who just so happens to be blind! I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at just 4 years old and began public speaking at age 5. I started just doing motivational speaking, but now I make videos and even model! Even though I can’t see, I know that there are bright spots in everything we face. Let’s find them together. 💕

  • Did you learn anything new about the blind community?! :) What other videos would you like to see from me?

    Molly BurkeMolly BurkeVor 6 Monate
    • Nice day dear Molly, did you have a video where you talk about brushing your teeth? I would love to hear/see how you manage brushing your teeth. I am a sighted person (with shortsightedness corrected by glasses) and struggle with gum recession because of wrong brushing technique. I fear what I'll do if my sight will get worsened. You have nice teeth so I am curious. Thank you very much I am sorry for my English, I am not native English speaker.

    • I'm learning a lot from you! Just because you seem to be a nice person, very eloquent and I don't know anyone who's blind. Imagine this: I love dogs! If I'd ran into a guide dog before I've met you, I'd probably pet him/her and wouldn't know that it was wrong. Actually, I did that in a International flight once and had no idea that it wasn't right. So, I think you're not only beeing a sucessful example for blind people struggling to adapt but also teaching non-disabled how to be around any disability without becoming an issue or a weird situation for both parties. Keep in mind that I don't see you as a blind woman. I see a girl, whose online content I enjoy and happens to be blind. Your reality couldn't be any further from mine, but I still enjoy your videos... probably because of your personality! And I think I'm not the only one... So, that being said, please focus on positive feedback... you're doing a great job!

  • I started going blind at 39. Two doctors from Mass developed a device called a K-Pro. My body was eating my corneas. That device gave me back sight, not 20/20 but perfect for me! I’ve decided not to do my other eye out of fear. My body ate 3 corneal transplants in a year and a half. The K-Pro is the last ditch effort to give vision back. They developed it because our soldiers were coming home with shrapnel injuries no one could treat. I’m extremely grateful. The reason I don’t do the other eye is due to all the failed procedures and miss diagnosis over a 4 yr period. It’s the only eye I have left, I can still differentiate between light and dark. Thank you so much for sharing your life and experience. I had so much anger for years. I still have my moments but much less frequent. I absolutely adore you and your channel. Thank you for helping me. xxoo 💜

  • Hard agree on the "better solution" I was SO depressed as I got worse BECAUSE I WASN'T taught I wasn't curable and that I would never be curable. I was taught "oh don't be so negative, you could get cured" and grew severely depressed when I realised that wasn't true Teaching me I'm incurable is not "negative" it's realism Toxic positivity is a real thing and that real thing makes so many of us so insanely depressed Treat/cure those who ARE curable instead of warping the minds of those who aren't. Empower us, cure others, and bring us all together. I've been saying this for years and I will continue to say it. My condition is NOT inherently negative and if someone thinks it is that is THEIR problem entirely, not mine.

  • Just a note on the first part - you can also put out whatever type of content you WANT to. If you enjoy making it and people enjoy watching it, not every single thing you post has to have greater meaning to it. You can just like stuff for you.

  • I LOVE the diversity in content you have. i specifically don't like fashion, BUT, i love the you do what YOU love and put it were you want. it's shows others that they can do more then one thing on their channel, and that if you are different that doesn't mean you have to talk just about this. I didn't saw you're videos for a long time and the start of this video reminded me why i loved your channel so much. Keep doing what you love and i hope that the people that think differently can understand your side now.

You are blind and talking about that is fantastic, but you are also a human, like most youtubers (trying to think of non-human DEhavers here LoL). Point being, you are not just blind, you are a woman, you are a person with informed opinions, you are interested in fashion and hair and makeup and styling and interior decorating... the list goes on. So, do whatever you want, we like watching it because we like your energy. Not all videos need a deep and meaningful meaning behind it, it can just be fun!

  • I knew you before from Amazing Top Ten but started last night on your channel. I just stated writing a book about a blind man and his guide dog. I think your channel will really help me on understanding on what blind people go though. I am disabled myself with cerebral palsy so seeing disabled people like yourself do stuff that you love and not letting our disabilities get in the way is really inspirational. It’s interesting to know that guide dogs paired up with blind people are rare because that’s what I though they’re kind of known for, that and the cane. I don’t know if you’ll get to answer this, but when you got your guide dogs, did you name them or were they already picked out? Did you have a choice to rename them if you wanted to?

  • Just getting around to watching this video, oops, but I feel like that person was way off about your content. Admittedly I don't watch every single one of your videos, but that's for my own personal reasons (I have my own body issues and get easily triggered with certain topics). I think it's natural for your videos to get more diverse and maybe change a bit over the years as you yourself change and move into different phases of your life, I don't see that as having anything to do with running out of content or just wanting clicks.

  • Can I just say literally nobody has the right to say anything at all negative or message u basically play cayting and judging to u bc ur content is amazingly inspiring, educational and just all in all positive and honestly even if it wasn’t WHY do people think it’s their right to tell u what u should or should not be posting and what u should or shouldn’t be doing? That is absurd to me you do NOT have to explain urself to anybody cause I promise u 99.9% do not feel the way this ignorant naive person does they’re just unfortunately the ones sometimes that for some reason feel the need to try to be the loudest and make their unwanted opinions known. Ugh I never usually comment complaining like this it’s a waste of energy usually lol but God that just really irritated the shit out of me the amount of entitlement and disrespect people have for you and a lot of influencers on social media..you are the few that don’t have mindless negative content so idk sorry for the rant just wanted u to know that that is not the majority of ppl by any means n you don’t have to explain urself. Your channel I just recently found and helps me tremendously not feel alone and remember what’s important in life and so be grateful and positive and have faith, I have my sight thank god but I have been through a very long mental health and addiction recovery journey and honestly have been through a crazy amount the past few years with a tremendous amount of anxiety and depression and it was confusing bc I wanted to isolate but I also wanted to be around ppl I ended up losing all of my friends bc I stopped reaching out etc anyways I have just gotten a year clean thank god and COVID has deff been very very hard on my mental health like way more hard then I feel like it should be but u make me feel so much less lonely n I just want to remind u that YOU ARE APPRECIATED and thank u I know it’s a lot of work cuz I’ve thought about making a channel and idk if I could. P.s u are very pretty and I didn’t even notice u were blind at all bc u have ur makeup done nice and clothes and I guess that was a stereotype I subconsciously had in my head but u look great is my point lol it must be frustrating I give u so much credit. Oh! Also I raised a seeing eye puppy (fostered) for a year until she went to train and be with her new owner and it was the hardest thing ever I fell in love with that dog but seeing this helps remind me of all the good it did and the small sacrifices we make can really make a difference💕💕💕💕 @MollyBurke
