Make sure the collar is a BREAKAWAY collar, so if it gets caught on something she won't strangle herself cause the collar will just unlock
The best idea would have been to let her explore the house a little more, and let her settle into the play pen for at least a day, so there wouldn't be so much stress

my cat was the same way! lol, it was her and her sister (Nala) left. Nala was the kitty I was originally supposed to take home but her sister, who i've named Ash was more calm so I took her home instead. Turns out the quiet ones always have the MOST personality lol
My cat Sonny still plays fetch like a dog and barks at the lawn guys my apartment uses 😂 a cat bark sounds more like a rough meow but I know what he means haha

My last emotional support dog passed away so when I got a new puppy, emotional support dog in training, I was nervous about how she'd be with my cats and my sisters Chihuahua, but she's been amazing. Not the same reaction as yours though. Mine play together and wrestle a lot. It's funny. Gallop and Lavender could possibly end up being playmates like that too.
